Archive of emotional gestures (Archivo de Gestos Emocionales) - Moi, j'attends

Audiovisual instalation created from the reading of the small book Moi, j’attends, by Davide Cali and Serge Bloch. Translated into Spanish as El hilo de la vida  and into English as I can't wait, this story manages, starting from a red thread, with little text and minimalist drawings, to provoke intense emotions in the faces of the people who read it.

This is the starting point that led the creator of this project, Jose Antonio Portillo, to carry out a work that goes beyond reading and delves into the hopes, ambitions, frustrations or illusions of each of us.

Because the  Archive of Emocional Gestures is based on community work in which people from the selected group give us their testimony and answer the question: what do you expect or what did you (not) expect from life?. 

The result is shown to us in an interactive video installation.

The project received the Lleida Performing Arts Project Award in 2010 and has been carried out in 
Lleida, Olot, Castellón (UJI Paraninf and EACC), Benicarló, Sueca (Valencia) and Barcelona (MACBA).
